Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 from February 27, 2010 to Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming community that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. Most people who do not know this name believe it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. The West Island is frequently referred to as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is true, her stay in the city was brief. Brugel grew-up in Courtice close to Oshawa the city of Ontario. She wanted to become an elite dancer, however due to her rapid development spurt, she exceeded the size of her dancing colleagues. She admitted in an article published by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. As I grew older than my male friends, I quit. In the case of Brugel, it was the guidance of an instructor in drama from her high school which inspired her to take up acting. She was encouraged to audition for a part in the school's production. After some trial and error the role, she was chosen as the lead on stage in Anne of Green Gables. She was given an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to study at York University's theatre Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. Since then, she's appeared in 60+ productions both on big screens and smaller ones. She received the greatest fame when she was offered the part as Rita in the award-winning television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in Season 1 and only appeared on occasion.
